About Love Share Foundation
Love Share Foundation exists to share love with no exceptions. We believe every child, every parent, every person deserves compassion, dignity, and hope. Our work was born from one unforgettable moment on the side of the road that changed everything.
Our Founding Story
About ten years ago, I pulled off to the side of the road just trying to get better cell phone service. It was nothing special — just another day, another call — until I heard a soft knock on my rear truck window.
I looked up and saw a little boy, around eight years old, standing there barefoot. He had a knot on his head and tears running down his face. I rolled down the window, and before I could even ask what was wrong, my heart already knew this was not going to be a normal moment.
I told him to get in my truck. I wanted him to feel safe. Gently, I asked him what happened. He told me he was living in a boy’s home that was abusive and violent. The staff there had pushed his head through a wall. He was scared, hurting, and completely alone. Amazing system we have was my only thought. So I asked how I could help. He looked at me and said can we please go to the police department. Out of all the places he could have asked me to take him. At his age that shouldn’t be his only safe zone available to him.
Nonetheless I told him I would take him anywhere he wanted to go. Before we started driving, he asked if he could call his mom. At just eight years old, he remembered her entire 10-digit Los Angeles number — 213 area code and all — by heart. I dialed, and she answered.
What I heard next was the most heartbreaking, gut-wrenching phone call I have ever experienced. His mother was on the other end of the line, broken and crying. In that moment, I realized he wasn’t going to be able to go home. CPS had placed him in that State-run boys’ home. No matter how much his mom loved him, the system had him. I told her I would do whatever I could in that moment to make him happy, to make him feel even a little bit loved and safe.
I drove him to McDonald’s. We went through the drive-through because he was barefoot, and I didn’t want him to have to walk inside like that. In the same parking lot, there was a Ross store. I offered to buy him shoes — anything he wanted. He refused. That “no” shattered me. There was so much pain behind it, so much he had already learned not to accept, even as a child.
So I focused on the yes he did give me. I told him to get whatever he wanted from McDonald’s. It seems small, but in that moment it was the only real choice I could offer him — a tiny bit of control and comfort in a world that had taken so much from him.
After we ate, I drove him to the police department like he asked. I walked him in, left my information, and trusted that somehow, some way, he would be protected. I never got his name. I have thought about him often — honestly, daily — ever since. If he ever hears this story and recognizes himself in it, I hope with everything in me that he reaches out.
That little boy never left my heart. He is the reason Love Share Foundation exists today. This isn’t just a nonprofit for me—it’s deeply personal. Given the climate of the world today, especially the challenges facing our children and the problems with our society of protecting them, I know I cannot walk away from this mission.
It’s my promise to him — and to every child like him — that as long as I’m here, I will do everything I can to fight for the ones who need a voice, support, and a chance to be loved and provided for like we all did…
Our Mission
Love Share Foundation exists for the children who have been forgotten, left behind, and unloved — the ones who are stuck in systems that do not see their full worth. Our mission begins with kids in the foster care system, but it doesn’t end there. We believe love should have no exceptions and no limits.
Our heart is especially with:
- Children in foster care who feel unseen and unheard
- Kids who have survived abuse, neglect, or human trafficking
- Children and families stuck in cycles of poverty and pain
- Single moms on welfare doing everything they can to keep going
- Families in need during the holidays, including Angel Tree donations
- Single parents with layaways at Christmas, just hoping to give their children a little joy
Our founder was raised by a single mom with no father in the home. He knows what it feels like to struggle, to feel alone, and to desperately need someone to show up. Love Share Foundation is his way of saying to every child and every parent walking a hard road: you are seen, you are loved, and you matter.
As Love Share Foundation grows, our vision is to do as much good as possible, for as many people as possible — sharing love and kindness with no exceptions. Whether it’s practical support, a moment of joy, a paid-off layaway, or a simple reminder that someone cares, we are here to be proof that love still shows up.
Founder’s Mission Statement
“My mission is to show up for the children and families the world has overlooked — the ones who feel forgotten, unlovable, or alone. I want every child to know that their story matters, that their pain is seen, and that love will keep fighting for them. Love Share Foundation is my promise to keep sharing love, kindness, and hope with no exceptions.”

An Open Invitation to Share Love
If you see yourself or someone you love in this story, please know: you are not alone. If you are a child in foster care, a single mom doing her best, a survivor of abuse or trafficking, or simply someone who cares deeply and wants to help, there is a place for you here.
To the little boy on the side of the road, now a man somewhere in this world: if you ever come across this story and recognize it as your own, please reach out. You may not remember Me by name, but I have never forgotten you. Love Share Foundation is, in so many ways, the expression of the promise I made in my heart the day I met you — I promise to keep showing up with love, every chance I get.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story. We invite you to connect, to partner, and to participate in this work of love — in your family, your neighborhood, your city, and beyond. However you’re able to show up, there is room for your heart here.
